Comprehensive Residential
RESIDENTIAL Backflow Prevention Services
The risk of contaminated water mixing with potable water necessitates installing backflow prevention systems in your home. Besides, the backflow preventer should be in optimum working condition to meet the regulatory requirements. Total Underground Construction ensures efficiency in backflow prevention through installing, repairing, replacing, and maintaining the system.
Backflow Preventer Installation
Residential backflow preventer installation goes beyond providing labor to ensuring the system meets local plumbing codes. Total UC assesses your property and suggests the ideal location for the preventer. We also give you a free estimate to help you make an informed decision.
Backflow Preventer Repairs
Because a backflow preventer uses mechanical and electrical components, it is prone to wear and tear. To maintain maximum effectiveness, regular testing and repairs are required to restore its functionality. We use advanced technology to pinpoint the faulty parts of the system and recommend the best remedy.
Backflow Valve Replacement
Although repairs can work for the first and second time, a backflow valve might need replacement if it keeps breaking. We help you get the best backflow preventers from local suppliers for optimum durability. Total UC plumbers also ensure the device meets plumbing and construction standards.
What People’s Say
Reviews
I had a clogged main sewer line that needed replacing and my neighbor recommended Joe and Orlando. They immediately came out to assess the situation and proposed a cost effective solution. Right away, they came off as two guys who really enjoyed their work. After accepting the project, they took the extra steps to drive out that night to get the sewer line in a passable condition for the few days until the start of the project so we would not be without water and this was all done free of charge with the project. For comparison, other plumbers I've worked with have charged me even for using the camera to look at the line. During the project, they had 4 guys working and were able to complete the sewer line replacement in a single day. On top of all this, their price was extremely reasonable. Highly recommend them and would definitely call on them for future plumbing needs.

Joe is a rare breed and someone that you feel thankful that you met! I requested a quote for some plumbing that needed to be fixed and Joe came out, addressed the problems, and helped us fix leaks in the plumbing. I couldn't recommend him enough to anyone who needs underground construction or plumbing work on their home.
Thank you again for everything and the advice and help you shared.

I had a leak under my house and Joe came out within hours of me reaching out. They recommended I replace the galvanized pipes and they had the job done within 24 hours. Him and his team were very professional and spotted some other issues that needed attention along the way. They have a lot of experience and let me know what was happening every step of the way.

FAQ
you asked we answered
Where is the best place to put a backflow preventer?
The best place to install a backflow preventer is above ground, where the municipal water supply enters your home. In an irrigation system, you can install the device at the water intake point.
How is a backflow valve installed?
Usually, a licensed plumber installs a backwater valve by excavating into the basement floor or digging soil, removing a segment of the water supply pipe, and connecting a valve. The backflow preventer is installed above ground for easy monitoring, maintenance, and testing.
Why do you install a backflow preventer?
Backflow valves prevent contamination of potable water by non-potable water from fire sprinklers and irrigation systems. It is also a requirement by most water suppliers to safeguard the quality of water supplied to other users.
Can I install a backflow preventer myself?
While installing a backflow preventer on your own is possible, the processes make it tedious. To do it, you need to get a permit from the local regulators, and a certified backflow tester must assess the installation before use.
